The Afurada Living Lab is a territory to experience and validate technological solutions and innovative services, where several actors collaborate to promote a low carbon economy and the sustainable development of the Afurada community.

The Afurada Living Lab project responds to multiple challenges related to the decarbonization of cities, such as sustainable urban mobility, building energy efficiency and the transition to a circular economy.

The Afurada Living Lab consists of a strategic and technological partnership coordinated by CEDES Association. It includes several public entities, such as the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, GAIURB, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology of Trondheim, and private entities specialized in technology and innovative urban solutions, such as DST Solar, Innovation Point, Watt is, Ubiwhere and CEiiA.
